Bostadsögat helps people find first-hand rental contracts in Sweden without waiting years in a housing queue. It monitors 90+ landlords in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Västerås and Norrköping and sends an alert within minutes when a matching apartment is listed. We built the landing page and web app in Next.js, and the iOS app on the App Store.

Bostadsögat: how the rental alerts work
  • Monitoring around the clock

90+ landlords are checked continuously, the most time-critical every three minutes. First come first served, lotteries and landlord’s choice all land in one feed.

  • Filters that actually filter

Municipality and district, rooms, maximum rent, size and move-in date. Users set up their alerts in a minute.

  • Alerts within minutes

When a new listing matches, an email and a push go out with a direct link to the landlord’s application. Duplicates are merged automatically.

  • Built to be found

City and municipality pages, guides and a filter demo with real listings bring in visitors from Google. Subscriptions run through Stripe, with a seven-day free trial.

iOS app

The Bostadsögat app on the App Store
  • Push on the lock screen

A match arrives as a push the same minute the listing is found, so users can apply before most people have even seen it.

  • Map of available apartments

Every available apartment on a map, with the same filters as the alerts, so users see where they actually are.

  • One account, web and app

The same account, alerts and saved listings in the app as on the web.

  • Live on the App Store

In-app subscription, Face ID lock and a travel-time filter in the latest version.
