Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply when a company buys a website package, Website as a Service, Vindictive Care or Vindictive Dev from Vindictive Studios (“we”) through vindictive-studios.se or through a payment link we send. Our services are sold to businesses only. By paying, you confirm that you are buying on behalf of a company.
2. Packages and scope
Each package (Launch, Business, Growth) describes the scope it includes, such as the number of pages and functionality. Prices are shown as “from” prices: the package price covers the scope described for that package.
After you pay, you complete a short onboarding questionnaire. If your answers show that the project needs more than the package covers, we tell you before any work starts and give you a fixed price for the difference. If you don’t want to continue, we refund what you’ve paid.
3. Prices and payment
All prices exclude VAT. Prices are set per market: SEK for Swedish businesses, EUR for businesses in other EU countries, GBP for businesses in the UK, CAD for businesses in Canada and USD for businesses elsewhere. Swedish businesses pay 25% Swedish VAT. Businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number are invoiced without Swedish VAT under the reverse charge rules. Businesses outside the EU are invoiced without Swedish VAT. You confirm that the details you give about your business are correct.
You can pay for a website package in two ways: the full price when you order, or a fixed monthly payment plan. The payment plan splits the package price into a stated number of monthly payments, where the last one may be smaller so that the total is exactly the package price. It ends automatically after the last payment and is not an ongoing subscription. By choosing the payment plan, you commit to the full project price, split across the stated payments.
Payments under the payment plan are charged to the card you used at checkout. You get a receipt or invoice for every payment. If a payment fails, we try again and contact you. Late payments accrue interest according to the Swedish Interest Act (räntelagen).
Third-party costs, such as domain names, paid plugins, fonts or software licences, are not included unless stated and are paid by you.
4. Timeline and your part
Delivery times are estimates and start when we have your completed onboarding answers and the material we need. If material or feedback is delayed, the timeline moves accordingly.
You are responsible for having the right to use the texts, images, logos and other material you give us.
5. Design and feedback
You see the design before we build it and can ask for changes within the agreed scope. Changes that go beyond the scope, or that come after you’ve approved a step, are quoted separately before we do them.
6. Ownership
When you buy a website and the full project price has been paid, you own the design and the code we’ve written for it. With Website as a Service, Vindictive keeps ownership of the code and infrastructure while the subscription is active (see section 10). Third-party components keep their own licences. We may show the finished work in our portfolio unless we agree otherwise.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel a website project at any time. If you cancel before we start the design work, you get back what you’ve paid. After that, we charge for the work done up to the cancellation, and payments already made are not refunded.
8. Fixes after launch
If you find a bug in what we’ve built within 30 days of launch, we fix it at no cost. Changes to content or new functionality are not bugs.
9. Vindictive Care
Vindictive Care is an optional, separate monthly subscription for websites you own. It never starts automatically. You can start it at any time for a website you own, whoever built it (if you bought a website package from us: once it is fully paid). If someone else built the website, we review it before Care can start, and we may decline a website we cannot reasonably maintain within Care. Care is not available for Website as a Service, where it is already included. It includes managed hosting, daily backups, security updates, monitoring, a monthly technical check and up to two hours of small content updates per month. Unused hours don’t carry over. Larger work, such as redesigns, new features, systems or apps, is not included and is quoted separately or handled through Vindictive Dev. The subscription is billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with one month’s notice.
10. Website as a Service
With Website as a Service, we design, build, host and maintain your website for a monthly fee instead of you buying it. The subscription has a minimum term of 12 months from the start. After that, it continues month to month until you cancel it; no new minimum term is added. The subscription is billed monthly in advance.
Each plan includes a stated number of hours per month for small changes. Unused hours don’t carry over. Larger work, such as redesigns, new applications, major features or integrations, is not included and is quoted separately or handled through Vindictive Dev.
While the subscription is active, Vindictive owns and manages the code and the infrastructure, and you have the use of the website. Ownership doesn’t transfer to you unless you buy the website. You can ask to buy it outright; we agree the price with you.
You can cancel after the minimum term. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. When the service ends without a buyout, we stop hosting and maintaining the website and it may be taken offline. Ending the subscription before the minimum term requires a separate agreement with us. A failed payment doesn’t end the service; we try again and contact you.
11. Vindictive Dev
Vindictive Dev is a monthly subscription. You can add unlimited requests to your queue and we work on one active request at a time. The subscription is billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You can ask us to pause your billing between requests.
12. Liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in question during the last 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost data, unless caused by gross negligence.
13. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by a Swedish general court.
